CSGA Wins National Award for Excellence in Governance

The Canadian Seed Growers’ Association (CSGA) has been awarded the 2025 Organizational Governance Award by the Governance Professionals of Canada — a national recognition of outstanding leadership, innovation, and integrity in governance.

The award highlights CSGA’s two-year governance renewal, which modernized policies and tools, clarified roles, strengthened accountability, and expanded membership through a successful national consultation. The GPC judges praised the depth of the work and the collaborative process that engaged members, branches, and stakeholders across the country.

The Governance Committee — Glenn Logan (Chair), Andrew Ayre, Carl Bolton, and Roy Klym — led this transformational effort, with COO Caroline Lafontaine guiding the operational review, redesign, and implementation. Caroline accepted the award on CSGA’s behalf.

This achievement reflects the commitment of our members and partners whose input shaped a stronger, more transparent governance foundation. Together, we’re building a resilient and future-ready CSGA that will serve Canada’s seed system for years to come.
