In response to a resolution at the 2022 Canadian Seed Growers’ Association AGM, SeedTalk Prairies brings together a panel of experts from the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA – an international standard setting organization), a seed lab, and a seed grower to inform CSGA members and crop producers on seed vigour testing. What is seed vigour, and how can test results be used to make informed field management decisions? Is it possible to standardize vigour testing, and if so, what is involved?
