CSGA Amalgamation Vote Results

Earlier today the vote closed on the Seeds Canada ratification proposal.

Thank you to everyone who voted.

Beyond the outcome, the greatest takeaway from this campaign for me has been seeing engagement amongst our members. I continue to be proud to work for people who take pride in their industry and put in time and effort in order to help see it thrive.

More than 50% of the CSGA membership voted against the Special Resolution to Amalgamate and therefore the resolution was defeated.

While this is a disappointment for our Board, which has been guiding the development of this proposal for many years now, we see this decision as an opportunity. We heard many concerns from within the industry about this proposal in the weeks leading up to the vote and we appreciate feedback in whatever form it comes. In the coming months, we are going to focus on addressing all questions and concerns from our members and having constructive discussions around where to go next, in order to best support the future success of our industry.

Until then, feel free to connect with our Board at any time with feedback.

Once again, we thank you for taking the time to vote on this important issue.
